Forest Day September 25, 2023

Our busy day in the forest started out with a few rain showers but by afternoon the sun was shining. The children were busy using their imaginations, building, and having conversations. In the afternoon one child discovered then big log laying across our classroom (it's been there about 7 years) had decayed enough that they could dig for bugs in it. They also liked that they could pull out big chunks and soon many hands were helping take the log apart--they worked faster than termites. The log still has a few big sections but most of it is scattered all over the area.
