We had a great day in the forest! We were busy spotting animal tracks and scat. In the morniong while digging we found a beetle in the dirt. We also came across a mouse in the snow--some animal dropped their breakfast or last night's supper. Many explored the fallen tree. Digging in the snow and dirt was also popular--in the morning they were making "brown sugar" and in the afternoon they made towers and a birthday cake. It was so good to hear the conversations and see the teamwork they used throughout their play.
