Our First Day--So Much to Explore

We had a great first day in the forest! We rode the bus (for some it was the first time on a bus and they were excited), found the boundaries (trees marked with orange tape), heard a story, explored our area, used our imaginations, and helped our friends. In the morning our imaginations led us to be a herd of dinosaurs and in the afternoon many went on a bear hunt. Both sections used teamwork and worked their muscles pushing some logs around. We noticed the treetops moving in the breeze and one student said, "Look the trees are dancing". We finished up with a Rice Krispie bar snack. A special thank you the volunteers that were able to help us get settled in today!
