Forest Day February 14, 2022

We bundled up and headed out to the forest. We kept busy sliding, digging, chopping, crawling, climbing, and exploring a couple fallen trees in an area beyond our regular forest classroom. We noticed the dirt was different colors, rocks were stuck in the tree roots, found lots of sticks, and climbed on the trunks. We found tracks, deer scat, an owl feather, a bone, and a rabbit foot. We ate snack and heard our story at school so our hands would stay warm when we ate. Here is a glimpse of our day:

One standard addressed today was: Health and Physical Development: Motor Development--B.EL.1a Moves with strength, control, balance, coordination, locomotion, and endurance. Purpose and Coordination
