Forest Day March 20, 2023
There was still some snow on the ground and that melted as the day progressed. We were very busy digging and making "cake", as well as climbing, running, and balancing on the long log. Many children spent over 15 minutes walking to the end and going back to do it all again. Around the campfire we enjoyed brown sugar oatmeal.

Forest Day March 13, 2023
We enjoyed the deepest snow yet this winter in the forest. We found it is a workout walking in snow that is about 4 inches deep. The highlight of the morning was shaking trees and having it "snow" on them. Others were busy making a birthday cake and coffee for Mrs. Bobzin. Over the campfire we roasted french toast sticks and dipped them in syrup. Not as many pictures today--technology was not cooperating.
One standard addressed taday was: General Cognition and Knowledge: Scientific Thinking--C. EL.1 Uses observation to gather information.
