Forest Day March 6, 2023

 Today many of the children started staying all day for our forest time. We had so much fun with the melting snow making mud cakes, soup, and pies. Also it was slippery so they could slide some. The melting snow contributed to many socks and gloves being changed throughout the day. There was a police station built from sticks and another child found a stick shaped like a "J". It was awesome to see how quickly the morning and afternoon kiddos started playing together. In the afternoon we enjoyed campfire spaghetti with sauce. we were a tired but happy crew as we headed up to the bus. One standard addressed today was: Social Emotional Development--Social Competence: C.EL. 4 Engages in social problem solving behavior and learns to resolve conflict.
