So today we ventured out into the community again. We spent time in the park, at the library, and behind the high school. We practiced safely crossing the street by looking left, right, and left again.
In the park we stretched our bodies and our imagination while climbing, digging, sliding, and running.
At the library, Ms. Jenna, read us a story and had some activities for us to explore. We had binoculars to look for bugs, animals, flowers, and other discoveries. There was a table where we had to notice what item was missing from a tray. In another area were bags to reach in and feel to figure out what was in there.
Behind the high school we enjoyed a wide open area to run and hills to roll down. In the afternoon we even played out the nursery rhyme Jack and Jill.
Jack and Jill went up the hill to fetch a pail of water.
Jack fell down and broke his crown.
And Jill came tumbling after.
It was a warm and wonderful day to be out and about. We will explore more about fall the rest of this week.
