Today marked the final forest adventure for this school year. We had a beautiful to play and explore with our friends.
We were captivated by the many shimmering dragonflies darting around our classroom and landing on the leaves. (I tried taking pictures but they blend in too well.)
We roasted marshmallows and turned them into s'mores for snack.
Each child was asked select their favorite spot for me to take their picture and then they told me something they remembered doing in the forest--not just today, but anytime we were here. Here are their memories:
I remember I look at drawing on th etree with magnifying glass.
I like to dig. I like to play. I like to make a mud hole.
I remember making a huge cement thing when we digged a hole first. We digged a hole first and made a mud pie.
I bemember when all of us started to build this hole and it was kinda easy.
I like here cause it has shovels. I remember that we could dig in sand and snow.
I remember the snow. I planted a pine cone. I remember playing with Brynn.
I remember making mud pies with water and dirt and stir.
I remember that last time we make this when me and Emma were 4 so we didn't know if it would stick and then we didn't play it for a long time and then a different time I came to check it and it was stuck really hard. It was fun to do and then we went to the kindergarten classroom and that's when I come back to check it. (They had mud layered on the board he is sitting on.)
I member playing Bendy and the Ink Machine.
I remember I'm trying to make a board stay up but it won't.
I was laying eggs and they hatched and I made a nest.
I was playing on the rock and sliding off.
I remember when I ripped a piece off a log. I helped Audri make her house when she couldn't push the log.
I like to make sandwiches with Morgan and put leaves on and there was a table.
I'm making some cake and I find pine cones.
I love being Laila's husband and pour water in cake.
I remember that I found an inchworm.
