Final Forest Day 2018-19 June 3

Today the children were asked to tell me what they liked doing in the forest and they had their picture taken in their favorite spot.
"I like to dig and look for bugs."
"Picnic table...I like to be a queen up here."
 "To climb trees"
"I like to be on the rock cause it's big."
 "Digging here with my friend"
"We're gonna dig this pipe out."
"The Great Forest..I like chopping down stuff and looking for Big Foot."
"On the log...to listen to stories and looking at plants."
"The tall log for climbing it and jumping off."
"On the picnic table...play with Karsyn and Devin"
"Picnic table cause it is our shop for our stuff."
"Picnic table...to make a fire with sticks and hitting sticks to make music."
 "Picnic table...to play ninjas"
"I like to dig and pick leaves"
"Teeter totter with Karsyn and on the rock to slide down and jump"
 "Dig for treasure"
 "Cause I can dig"
"I like to dig to find like treasure like gold."
"I like looking at plants and digging and running."
"Digging a house and planting trees."

 "The bench when we eat."
 "To dig and find worms."
"My hideout when I am The Flash"

We also had a feast at the campfire--hot dogs, string cheese, s'mores, and a juice box.

It has been another amazing year watching children learn and grow while playing and exploring.
One standard addressed today was:
Listening and Understanding--A.EL. 2 Listens and responds to communications with others.
