Forest Day Sept 28, 2020

In the morning we had a few rain showers. The afternoon class was disappointed I couldn't make it rain for them too.

We read the story Balancing Act and many children explored ways to balance.

In the morning, a very active wholly bear caterpillar kept the children busy observing, discussing, and creating. They found rocks and leaves and built a house for it.

They found time to play polar bears and look for treasures like mushrooms and bones.

Designed a popsicle out of 2 mushrooms

In the afternoon the rocks were eggs ready to hatch into chickens. They were also busy climbing, running, drumming, and shaking trees to make the pine needles "rain" on them.
