Forest Day April18, 2022

We were back to snow pants and mittens today. Throughout the day it snowed on and off--some children enjoyed trying to catch some on their tongues and some used it to mix with dirt to make mud. There were some building adjustments to the forts and lots of imagining in the forts. In the digging area there was more planting of "trees" (sticks) than digging for treasure. We enjoyed lunch around the campfire and later went back up to roast marshmallows. Even with the snow falling, we did find tiny leaves and plants starting to grow and a slow moving beetle  :)

One standard addressed today was: Health and Physical Development--A.EL. 3 Demonstrates a healthy lifestyle.
