Forest Day November 7, 2022

We had a busy day exploring and learning. On the way down, one student dropped a pumpkin and it rolled part way down the hill. Another student noticed their water bottle was round and wondered if it would roll down the hill and tried it. Later in the day some children wanted to open a pumpkin so they worked on it together. In the afternoon others were determined to cut the pumpkin into 2 pieces. Other children explored the seeds and some decided to plant some of them. There was lots of building and stacking with sticks. We enjoyed some of the popcorn leftover from the All-school Family Night with our story today.

Here is a glimpse of our day:

One standard addressed today was: General Cognition--Scientific Thinking--C. EL. 4 Forms explanations based on trial and error, observations, and explorations.
