Forest Day Oct 23, 2023

 It started out a little rainy this morning and became sunny by afternoon. We took the pumpkins we explored last week to the forest with us. They were poked, carried, and used for "pumpkin soup". 

The children were also busy adding on to, remodeling, and imagining in the structures that were started on Family Night last week. The structures became a bus, boat, fire station, McDonald's (the french fires cost 3 hundred million dollars so I was glas they accepted leaves as payment), house, and more.

One standard addressed today was: General Cognition and Knowledge--Scientific Thinking: C. EL. 2 Uses tools to gather information, compare observed objects, and seek answers to questions through active investigation.
