Forest Day Oct 21, 2024

 We were excited to be back in the forest again. In the morning they were very busy moving logs & sticks for houses and campfires. In the afternoon we were busy enjoying the treehouse (picnic table fort) and carrying very long sticks. Both groups enjoyed the rock eggs, climbing, digging up & pulling on roots, and making music (drums AM and singing, playing drums, and a playing a board like a harp PM). There were times of high activity and times of rest. Both groups participated in a bus safety talk and evacuation drill just before heading out to the forest.

One standard addressed today was: Approaches to Learning--Diversity in Learning: C. EL. 3 Uses various styles of learning including verbal/linguistic, bodily/kinesthetic, visual/spatial, interpersonal, and intrapersonal.
