Forest Day October 7, 2024

 We enjoyed another day of learning, exploring, and imagining in the forest today. Rocks and pine needles were used to make nests for eggs (dinosaur and chicken) and later for soup. We did some digging, built with sticks, moved logs, and climbed trees--one was for a treestand and he said he got "lots of deer".  We also took some crayons out to the forest with paper to try rubbings--that didn't last long because most wanted to just draw. One standard addressed today was: Language Development and Communication--Early Literacy: C. EL. 4 Uses writing to represent thoughts or ideas.
