Forest Day at School Nov 25, 2024

 We had a good time exploring and playing at school today. Hunting season keeps us out of the forest.  We spent some time in our regular play area at school and then we moved to a different area. We enjoyed the twisty slide, bridge, swings, and bars. Some children found the black walnuts and tried making baskets in the hoops. One child found a double one--I have never seen one like that. We also had some play time inside. For our snack we made a turkey track--round cracker spread with their choice of peanut butter or cheese spread, and 4 stick pretzels arranged to resemble the toes and leg of the turkey's footprint.

One standard addressed today was: Health and Physical Development--Self Concept: B.EL. 2 Demonstrates self-awareness.
