Forest Day April 14, 2025

 Another fabulous day in the forest! On the way down the path we saw turkey and raccoon tracks. The children were busy digging, balancing, running, building houses & obstacle courses, and cooking--soup, mac n cheese, cakes, and more. We did the campfire in the morning this week and enjoyed meatballs--thank you Anderson family! The lunch crew saw a deer up near the port-a-potty area and enjoyed a new location for their sack lunch. We sat in the "pond classroom" and then explored around (not in) the pond. They did a great job staying on the edges even though they wanted to explore further. In the afternoon there was more digging, climbing, and creating. We also found a couple skulls and bones.

One standard address today was: Health and Physical Development--Motor Development: B.EL.1b Moves with strength, control, balance, coordination, locomotion, and endurance. Balance and Strength.
