We spent a lovely autumn day in the forest. We noticed more leaves on the ground--some trees were almost empty while others were still quite full of leaves. We found some interesting fungus and wet leaves, but not many critters. We did lots of balancing and building. There was a movie theater with a fish movie and a pumpkin patch. Another group made an airplane. In the afternoon it was beanstalk from our story Jack and the Beanstalk. They also discovered mixing water with dirt to make mud in their "cooking"--we had strawberry soup and chocolate.

One standard addressed today was: Approaches to Learning--Diversity in Learning: C. EL. 3 Uses various styles of learning including verbal/linguistic, bodily/kinesthetic, visual/spatial, interpersonal, and intrapersonal.
