November 6, 2017

We had a crisp fall day to explore in the forest today. We are focusing on numbers this week so after the story each child was to find 2 leaves and describe at least one way they were different. Most focused on the colors, while others noticed the size or the shape differences.

Miss Nogee's kindergartners had a donation of antlers and mini pumpkins so they shared some with us. We counted some, buried some, hoarded some, shared some, and much more.

Pretend play and conversations were woven in and around the pumpkin and antler explorations.

One standard addressed today was:
Speaking and Communicating
B. EL. 2a Uses vocalizations and spoken language to communicate.
