Forest Day Dec 17, 2018

Today we introduced the tools for whittling--potato peelers. Everyone had a chance to try whittling a stick and then we headed up by the real campfire to roast hot dogs.

We also had a great time playing and exploring with our friends. We found a caterpillar on a log, hunted for Bigfoot, dug around a stump, pretended the picnic table was a bus, and so much more. In the afternoon we brought a huge pumpkin from our classroom and rolled it down the big hill. It made it almost all the way before popping open. We explored the insides for a while and left the rest as a treat for the forest animals.
