Forest Day Mar 18, 2019

Today we started with a little exploring by the pond. We noticed most of the pond was frozen but some edges were water. We also saw a stick house that was built last year by Mr. Jared's class and many decided they would like to build in our area. We also found a couple owl pellets that we will dissect later this week.

We had a great time using our imaginations while playing with our friends.

The long stick is great grandmother--it was her birthday today and she is being remembered.

A bear prowling in the forest

 We found moss
 Guarding the "bad guy" castle

 Counting for hide'n'seek
 Looking for the hidden teacher

Drilling and digging in the snow
Digging a tunnel under the log

Found some deer hair on the ground

To finish our day we had snack and roasted a marshmallow by the campfire.

One standard addressed today was:
Curiosity, Engagement, and Persistence--A.EL. 3 Exhibits persistence and flexibility.
