"It's like being in a snow globe." --Mina
About 7-8 inches of fresh powdery snow greeted us as we arrived this afternoon. (A 2 hour delay prevented the AM class from attending.) Snow shimmered in the sun as it drifted from high branches or plopped in larger chunks. It truly was like playing inside a snow globe. The children were busy shaking smaller trees, sliding down an icy patch, noticing animal tracks, and burying each other in the snow--then they "hatched out" like baby birds. We took a short break and joined the kindergarten class to roast marshmallows. It was a magical afternoon.
One standard addressed today was:
Health and Physical Development-- A.EL.1b Demonstrates behaviors to meet self-help and physical needs.
