The first snowflakes of the season greeted us as we arrived in the forest this morning. Many tongues were out trying to catch them. Other children used their fingers to collect piles off leaves to taste. The painted rocks were popular again today--some carrying in hats or pockets while others were stacked or traded. We learned if we are cold you need to keep moving--also we got pretty good at putting gloves back on. We were lucky to find a couple wooly bear caterpillars too. Here is a glimpse at how we spent our day.
