Forest Day March 18, 2024

Today was chillier then last week but we kept moving and stayed warm. While digging we found a toad and as it was held it warmed up and was moving around. The children worked together to create some houses for it. Some played hide-n-seek, others were building or digging, some sang songs, some were using their superhero powers to become "invisible" (don't worry they still showed up on the pictures) and some ran as fast as they could. Last week we left a bucket filled with dirt and a stick in it. It froze solid. Throughout the day they worked on scraping the top, pounding on the bottom & sides, rolling it, poking trowls in the top, and finally it slid out of the bucket like a sand castle--they decorated it as a cake scrapping the sides and top. 
We enjoyed s'mores around the campfire in the afternoon.
