Forest Day September 15, 2025

Today was definitely warmer than last week. Not sure if it was the heat but we saw many critters today--at least 1 tree frog, 2 toads, 2 slugs, a spider wrapping a bug in its web, 1 salamander, and a caterpillar. We also had our Green Day. We knew we would see many shades of green on the grass and leaves. We also noticed the ferns and moss. The tree frog was green as well.

                          Mrs. M was showing them how to make a whistle with a wide piece of grass.

One standard addressed today was: General Cognition and Knowledge--Exploration, Discovery, and Problem Solving:  A. EL. 1 Uses multi-sensory abilities to process information.
