Mar 6 Forest Day

The rain held off so we had a dry day to play and explore again this week.

We read about a variety of dinosaurs and thought about how tall they were for some to reach the tops of the trees.

We used our tools and hands for digging...a few students were sure they found fossils and "a dinosaur neck". It was fun to see how they fit in the holes they dug too.

A few students discovered water in a cleft of the rock and painted with it.

Some students built a house and others enjoyed playing in it.

Many students used their imagination and played house, Rescue-bots, or made up their own scenario.

We visited Miss Nogee's class by the fire pit to learn about the safety rules so next week we can do some cooking.

One standard addressed this week was:
Diversity in Learning
 C. EL. 3 Uses various styles of learning including verbal/linguistic, bodily/kinesthetic, visual/spatial, interpersonal, and intrapersonal.
