After a week off, we were back to the forest. It was a little damp today--even rained some in the morning--but that did not dampen our spirits.
We heard the story of The Three Little Pigs and tried building some stick houses. Mrs. Bender, Mrs. Hruby, and some of the children tried blowing them down--most held firm.
We dug big holes, buried a friends feet, and found treasures like "dinosaur bones" (pine cones and sticks).
We played made up games with friends.
We even found a couple of slugs, some interesting moss, and sap coming from trees.
One standard addressed today was:
Exploration, Discovery, and Problem-Solving
A. EL. 1 Uses multi-sensory abilities to process information.
