Oct 9 Forest Day
Another beautiful day to be outside. In the morning a few children rolled logs down the hill and we found a tiny toad. In the afternoon we found fuzzy seeds to blow, pretended to have a spaghetti dinner, and built a bench that almost all the children sat on. Both classes walked on a ramp built in the morning-- It was interesting that the AM class walked from the bottom up and the PM class all walked from the top down. Both classes also looked at a book with animal track pictures and had a turn in the "climbing classroom" near the top of the big hill.
Today we used...
our muscles to move things and climb,
our words to share ideas and work out problems,
our imagination,
and items we found to play and discover.
We also got dirty!
Update on the caterpillar that was seen in the same place both AM and PM last week. It was gone--no chrysalis or cocoon, but all the leaves from the stem it was on were gone too. It must have been hungry!
