Forest Day April 30


Today was a beautiful, warm day to be in the forest. We enjoyed playing, exploring, and cooking.

Digging was popular during play today. We were also busy using our imagination and building teeter totters.








































In the morning we went down to the pond in Mr. Jared's room to see the frog eggs. Two kindergartners volunteered to lead the way and show us exactly where they were.

In the afternoon, Miss Nogee showed us a couple mystery creatures they had found. We also found a dead/mummified (they kept saying it was sleeping so I went with that) frog in our classroom. Many children took a turn holding it.




















We tried cooking an apple slice and a pineapple chunk over the fire. After tasting those we stirred up blueberry muffin mix with milk (no egg), covered it with tinfoil, and cooked it. It takes a LONG time to cook.
